Jamie Foxx is teaming up with MTV for this new type of show that has never been done before. I think they will call it a “reality-like show”, but this time, they will be turning G’s into Gentlemen…
“From G’s to Gents” will take 15 young “G’s” and polish them up. Taking lessons in everything from Style and Grace, Etiquette, Chivalry, and Business Skills, the men will LEARN that with the right tools every G has the ability to be a true Gentleman - and a real shot at finding success.
Who’s done with watching reality shows on television? I’ll give this one a shot though, since it is from my boy Foxx! Going to add it to “reminder” on my cable box along with Sportscenter and more Sportscenter.
In recent posts on his official blog, rapper/trendsetter, Kanye West, has been dropping clues and hinting around about his upcoming tour. Today in a blog titled, “The End of the World As You Know It,” West released the official poster for The Glow In The Dark Tour. The highly anticipated tour features some top names in music, Rihanna (who is also the new face of the Got Milk? campaign), Lupe Fiasco, and N.E.R.D.
With West, Fiasco, & Pharrell Williams all under one roof, my guess is that we can expect a performance of “US Placers” from Child Rebel Soldiers (CRS). CRS is a side project from the trio with Fiasco - the child, West - the rebel, and Williams - the soldier. “US Placers” was featured on West’s 2007 “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” mix-tape.
Tour dates and cities have yet to be released, but one thing is for certain, these tickets are sure to sell out faster than you can say ThisAintGonnaBeCheap!

An unknown rapper, from the south, was seen performing at the VERY low-budget ‘Southern Entertainment Awards’ this week in Nashville, Tennessee wearing an ‘iced out’ box of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes around his neck. This is not only the epitome of a fashion ‘no-no’-along with the $10 mall sunglasses, the plain white tee, and the swap meet samurai print jeans-this shows just how ignorant people (rappers) are these days.
A lot of rappers spend more time thinking of gimmicks to get them noticed than spending that time on making quality music that will actually do the same.
To add insult to injury, John Harvey Kellogg-the cereal mastermind behind the Kellogg brand name-didn’t even like black people! Kellogg was the center of the eugenics movement in America and was in favor of racial segregation; believing that immigrants and non-whites would damage the gene pool.
So not only is ‘icing out’ a Kellogg cereal box to wear around your neck ignorant, its foolish; proving that you are nothing more than a person trying to make a couple hundred thousand dollars on ringtones, just to retire in Bankhead, GA with seven cars and no house.
A New York judge has denied Foxy Brown’s request for an early release from jail for ear problem.Â
The letter was filed late on Tuesday at New York State Supreme Court, reads:
“I ask you to please take into consideration that my health is in jeopardy. “Yes, I’ve made some bad choices and stupid mistakes. But please understand that sitting in a prison with murderers and criminals is not rehabilitating or what I need to deal with my inner issues.” She also admits she has learnt from her troubles: “Up until now, you’ve only heard about Foxy Brown the artist. I’d like to show you Inga Marchand the beautiful person that my mom raised me to be. Jail has shaken me to my core, and my time away has impacted me greatly.”
Her lawyer says: “If her hearing is damaged any further, it will affect the way she hears and it will affect the way she sings. It will have dire consequences on her ability to maintain her profession and livelihood.”
Since when did Foxy sing? But damn… that’s cold. Let the girl handle her business!
An 18-year-old man has been charged with giving a 3-year-old a marijuana cigarette but because of a plea deal, the man only received probation. In December, Filipe Garcia was charged with felony child abuse after investigators said Garcia and his friends videotaped the child smoking marijuana and cigarettes while they were baby-sitting. But a plea deal has changed that charge to a misdemeanor.
