in-9-years-will-lebron-james-become-the-greatest-basketball-player-of-all-time

In 9 years… will Lebron James become the greatest basketball player of All-Time?

Let’s assume Lebron James stays healthy and very productive as he’s shown us in his past and only 9 year run he’s had in the NBA(so far)…

Do you think that at the rate LBJ is going and for the next 9 years, he will overshadow what the legends in the game of basketball have already done?

At age 27, Lebron has already accomplished more in the NBA than Michael Jordan did at the same age. This may not necessarily mean that LBJ is BETTER than MJ and let’s not forget that Jordan played 3 less seasons than Lebron did at age 27. Lebron has the upper hand in the longevity department as he has played NO LESS than 70 games a season and the only time he did was this year, when the NBA regulated a shortened 64 game season courtesy of “the lockout.”

You can argue and involve other players into this discussion of Lebron’s age and elite play level, such as Kevin Durant… The fact is, it’s super-human to have the ability to become a beast for so many years at so many levels! The only current active basketball players that are considered Michael Jordan-esque, are Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan, when you talk about hardware, consistency and longevity.

What makes the perfect basketball player? Rings. Stats. Accomplishments. Longevity.

Which elite NBA players are living examples? Abdul-Jabbar. Jordan. Bryant. O’Neal. Russell…

Who’s the current pick on pace of topping that list? Lebron James.

Hate him or love him, Lebron has finally tasted blood and somebody has to stop him from having more. With Kobe being a few years away from retirement, everybody not named Dirk Nowitzki needs to step it up or the bar WILL BE RAISED one step higher when Lebron is done.
