When you are Jay-Z, life just does not get any easier…
Jay-Z, who owns a portion of the New Jersey Nets is reportly trying to have the New Jersery’s Continental Airlines Arena re-named after his clothing line Rocawear. Of course, the change of the name will definately come with a price, that price reported to be anywhere from $600,000 to $2 million a year.
The proposel will be viewed and decided upon by the NJSEA, hopefully a decision will be reached by October 4th…

So, for those who have been hiding under a rock… Jay-Z has decided to return from retirement (again). His album American Gangster which, is inspired by the Denzel Washington’s upcoming film is on its way and definately anticipated. Jay has reached out to Timberland for a second single, which will follow up “Blue Magic” produced but another familar Virginia producer/rapper/friend Pharrell.
In the conversation with Jay, there was discussion about Jay’s motivation for the new album, the Kanye and 50 Cent battle and talk about who(each Jay and Timbo) would choose to run against, if they could,  in an album sales battle known as Super Tuesday. Jay’s pick was non other than rapper, Eminem. Eminem, who declared his retirement three years ago after his Curtain Call album, is currently and quietly working on new solo album.
Timbaland’s pick was legendary producer/rapper/member of controversial rap group N.W.A, Dr. Dre!
Can you imagine this?… Either way, all four men are in a league of their own and will have no problems selling records. Best of wishes fellas!!!

Big Boy of Los Angeles local radio station Power 106fm held backstage breakfast with Kanye West yesterday. At the event, Kanye performed songs off of his platinum album Graduation Day and the song that started it all “Through The Wire”.
In between his performances, Kayne was asked different questions about his thoughts on MTV and the VMA Awards, Britney Spears’ opening performance, the battle between him and 50 Cent and what his plans were after this album. Somewhere in the interview, he was asked a question along the lines of: “If you could form one super group who would you chooose?” His response stated “Common, Lil Wayne,  Lupe Fiasco and Andre 3000″
Now… could this mean anything? Who knows, but would definately be interesting.
