Ice-T thinks rappers like Rick Ross and Lil’ Wayne are “FAKE”

Check out what Ice-T recently had to say about rappers these days…

“That’s fake,” Ice-T blurts out. “Rick Ross stole a n****’s name. I call him ‘Identity Crisis.’ He thinks he’s [Freeway] Rick Ross, he thinks he’s Larry Hoover, he thinks he’s Big Meech, he thinks he’s MC Hammer, he thinks he’s Tupac. Like, who the f*ck are you really, dude?”

Ice continues, “When we rapped about dope— me, Snoop and everybody—it was like we doin’ it because we GOT to. Now these n***** is actin’ like it’s somethin’ that’s FUN. It’s so easy to fantasize about it. To actively do it? That’s a whole ‘nother f*ckin’ thing. “You can tell kids these days any motherf*****’ thing and they’ll believe it,” he laments. “There’s not a code of accountability in hip hop. When I came out, if you said it, you HAD to be about it. N***** would check you really quickly.” When you hear Lil Wayne sayin’ ‘I got a chopper in the car,’ you go, ‘Yeah, right you do.‘” VH1

Do you agree?

I totally agree with Ice-T about these fake ass rappers… If you think about it, back when rap started there were real life “HUSTLERS” out there getting it. Selling cocaine and heroin, it was what most of us saw on a daily basis so sh*t was real and n*ggas real street n*ggas rapped about it. These muthaf*ckas now these wish could do that sh*t…. I grew up in the time of Rayful Edmonds running DC, The Murder Capital, so when I hear these jokers talk about weight and choppers I just laugh because they have these kids thinking they are these big time mafia, drug dealing killers with f*ckin skinny jeans on, MAN GET THE F*CK OUTTA HERE….

Word, rap is an audio version of a movie…. Actors point blank and they are making money so much respect to the ones that portray themselves as gangstas or real good hard individuals. If people are going to buy it then by all means lie your ass off on these tracks, its an audience out here who wants to hear it.

How to playing a cop on Law and Order to get gwap consider him fake? If I dealt drugs and gang banged and got an offer to play a cop on a nationwide watch TV show that was a hit making tens of millions of dollars, I’d do it too it’s all about being financially secure shit don’t mean you being fake it just mean you need to eat

Co-Sign @ #1 Enough Said.
When 21street, was called “Vietnam”, back then Rayful Edmonds, was running DC. That sh!t was scary. Anyway, to me Hip-Hop is dead, no real substance. Appreciate when Ice-T keeps it real.
