50 Cent blames label // Ja Rule blames television

In an interview with Hot 97, “Curtis” blames his label for his second place status and record sales.

“To be honest the process of selling this record hasn’t been fun. I’m happy with the performance, but I’m not happy with the set up. We had conference calls and after we created this plan, nobody actually had a plan.”50 Cent also issued a warning to Def Jam, claiming he would release a new album every time the label had a big release. “Hypothetically, if I came in under Kanye West, I would release a new album every time Def Jam had a priority. I would release a record verses every one of their top priorities”.He also said that he was finished with Interscope after the release of his next album, which will fulfill his contractual obligations to the label. “It was the label,” 50 Cent said. “They’re dropping the ball all over the place. I’ll release my next album and then I’m a free agent.”

What do you think he’s doing?
If I sold over 500,000 albums my first week, i’d be straight. Oh well… maybe next album 50.

Ja Rule recently spoke to Complex magazine on topics such as his album, politics, 50 Cent and more.

This sucks because he had said a few things that just happen to catch heat in regards to homosexuality in the media.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

“…They got my man Doug Morris under fire and shit, they got him going down to go speak to Congress about hip-hop lyrics, are you fucking serious? There’s a fucking black kid right now about to get 25 years for having a fight with some white kids over hanging the nooses over the white tree, lets get to that. Let’s get into shit like that, because that’s what’s tearing up America, not me calling a woman a bitch or a hoe on my rap songs. And if it is, then we need to go step to Paramount, and fucking MGM, and all of these other motherfuckers that’s making all of these movies and we need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these fucking shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can’t watch this shit. Dating shows that’s showing two guys or two girls in mid afternoon. Let’s talk about shit like that! If that’s not fucking up America, I don’t know what is.”

Ja Rule on 50 Cent…

“That’s the difference people don’t understand. Everyone talks about the beef I had with 50; he has beef with all types of rappers, but I’m the only rapper who went and handled my business and went and hollered at him man to man… And the moment I heard he had a record about me, I knew where he resided, I knew where he hung out, I went and seen and him. “Homie, you have a problem with me? What’s happening? You ain’t got to rhyme about it, I’m right here in front of your face.” So that’s how our situation took place, and I handled my business with 50 and 50 knows that. That’s why I’m such a threat to him, that’s why he doesn’t like me so much.”

I hate to make excuses, but I agree with fifty. I mean you got 17 songs, 1 intro, and 5 singles out already! Its like the label just thru him out there and expected him to sell based on his name. At the same time, I think fifty focused on him being, HIM too much. I honestly bought his album first, and thought he was going to win; but based on the album, I can tell he focuses too much on making ”hit records” instead of great records. Not to mention Kanye is the underdog, who everyone wanted to win. Ye was the Cleveland Cavs, and fifty was the Spurs, only this time the fans had a say in who won.

If you ain’t selling well 50 then its simple, change up what you rap about. No more of the same old ish, track after track. Reminds me of “Belly”, and his take. I wonder who’ll bite the dust first you or him?

Sooner or later pop artists careers do die, and they lose their fans & followers until they pull a best of CD & a reunion tour. Wait a year or so, I smell a 50 best of coming up.

Felt that Tony…at one point or a another…a rapper fall off…even Jigga with kingdom come…every rapper got they season no matter how hot they is…all streaks come to an end. As far as my n!gga Ja…he’ll be aight hopefully…damn. As far as 50…sh!t with all that money he got…I wouldn’t worry about a mu’uf@#$&! thang. N!gga need to stop beefin though before he find himself in a stew…and other n!ggas chewin him up.

50 dont care about what Ja Talking bout. Bottom line is Ja is whacked and thats it. I doubt if he confronted 50 the way he said he did. 50 just dont seem like the nigga that would take that kinda shit, not from Ja.
