So sad... We live in an insane World, protect yourself at all times!
A 16-year-old dying Queens girl made a desperate 911 call after someone slit her throat on a Brooklyn street corner early Sunday, police sources said.
Kyanna Thomas, of Rosedale, and her mother were visiting Kyanna's aunt in Bedford-Stuyvesant when Kyanna snuck out in the middle of the night, relatives said.
"They didn't even know she was outside," said the girl's devastated grandfather, Ken Thomas, 76.
"This is the worst day of my life. She was my only granddaughter."
Kyanna was slashed near the corner of McDougal St. and Saratoga Ave. about 3:10 a.m., police said. She called 911 from her cellphone, which lay near a pool of her blood in the aftermath of the killing.
She was rushed to Interfaith Medical Center but could not be saved.
There were no arrests, and investigators are having trouble finding any witnesses in the quiet residential area, police sources said.
Cops are trying to learn Kyanna's password to her cellphone, according to her grandfather, so they can see who she was in touch with before she was killed.
A box-cutter was recovered from the scene, police sources said. Source
