I dont think he is a snitch but he is walking a fine line. Now if his testifying has anything to do with him only getting a year for the guns charge……not good.
This I will say also cause most want say it. 50 cent is 3 for 3. He was right about Rocsi. He was right about Buck and Game. He was right about T.I. He never called T.I. a snitch technically but he did say the situation was baffling and that his lawyers said they couldnt have gotten him a year. Call 50 a hater all you want but seeing T.I. on that witness stand cant help the street talk. If you claim to live by the street code, it is never good to be on video answering questions about street shyt.
Again….I applaud him for having the courage to testify. I just hope his gun bust had nothing to do with convincing him to do so. Hope the intelligent people see my conflict with this one.

My thing is why they asked the dumbest questions and stuff. They showed him a picture of the dude dead when they know they were good friends. What was that supposed to prove. @REDDOG shouldn’t be any conflict with his decision to testify. Firstly T.I has 2 options, handle it himself, or identify the trigger man. Street-codes don’t mean shiit, it’s over-rated. When caught very few people stick to those codes anyway. This is far from snitchin, this is logical.

ALL2Hood - Street codes mean the world to real street niggas. Call em crazy or whatever but they do. That snitching shyt dont apply to me, but if I was a head bussa or talked about the streets and proclaimed to be a street nigga….. it would behove me not to be on stand testifying to shyt. Like I said…..Much props to T.I. for doing it, hope he did it for the right reasons. Now..you and I may not live by street codes but some niggas do. The conflict isnt with his decision to testify but more so what his motive was to do it. In other words, if there was no gun charge would he have been trying to handle this himself and not testify? When did he get the gun charge? Was he tooling up to handle some shyt? That is the conflict I have with it. If they used the gun bust to convince him to take the stand. Not good.
THEFUTRE32 - There is no such thang as snitching on wax! You snitch to the cops to put someone in jail. Music does not do that. If that was the case Rick Ross would be snitching on himself and Jeezy and they would both be serving time. Oh and getting a restraining order may not be ganster but is not snitching. Matter of fact it is a move done so that if something happens between the two parties, it looks bad for the one who wasnt suppose to be around the other. Lawyers usually advise and handle this type paperwork…..the person just signs.

Very well put He-Man…..people get mad when I say that. Maybe all the regular folks will eventually stop with claiming this street code and promoting the stop snitching propaganda. That is for street niggas. Those same street niggas expect most white people to tell the police, so in a sense…..they only manipulating their own people and communities.
The reason they ask those questions are to establish a case. They ask what seem like the simpliest and dumbest of questions to show credibility of the witness. Putting the pic of his friend in front of him and asking him to indentify it and tell the story of how he had to tell his friends mom and child, shows that he is human. It makes the jury see him as a man that lost a friend. It paints him as an individual that is struggling with the death of a friend just like most people would. It fights against the thought or pic of T.I. as some street thug. Juries have to be handle with care.

Ok to everybody on this page. I want to get one thing clear. The gun bust was a Federal case. This here is a State case therefore the feds could careless if he testified in this case. I’m not saying he didn’t make some kind of deal to get a year, (because frankly if you don’t think he made some kind of deal to get off your delusional.) What I am saying is him testifying didn’t help him on the gun charges as far as time goes but I bet it did help him prove the fact that his life was in danger and he need to protect himself with his friends life being taken in the manner it was.
And for those that don’t think he made a deal on the gun charges I will say this. T.I was a felon. A felon caught with a firearm is an automatic 7 year bid. This man was trying to get fully automatics which also carry a mandatory sentence. So for him to get only a year is crazy. On top of that he doesn’t have to start his time for a year. Which really means he is not going to end up serving any time at all. Watch what is say.
I said all that to say this. These cat make music and either you like it or you don’t. Me personally I love his music because it’s entertaining. I don’t listen to it because I’m believing what this dude is saying is for real. That’s the problem, to many people look at rappers as real when only a small few of them have ever really lived the life they portray on wax.

Appreciate that Red. I done seen some bulshit bruh. I gotta cousin right now been in jail going on ten years and he didn’t even shoot nobody. The **** ass nigga that did shoot the white girl testified against my cousin and got two years and out like a mother****er man.
My cousin come up for parole in January I believe. He not even a killer. Never killed. He did try and rob but he wasn’t the one that shot the lady. The bitchass nigga did the shooting. They had other people to see it too. But the **** nigga copped a bargain plea. Became an informationist and my cousin get the low end. He spent most of his twenties if not all of them in that hell hole.
From that point on I was like. **** this overrated bulshit of not snitching. Now I understand if you and your peeps go in on a drug deal. But you the one to get caught. Then I agree that you shouldn’t rat out. But that is different from having some niggas you know don’t like you trying to kill you or your potnas.

@reddog T.I was busted in Atl, not Cincy so how is he helpin his case by testifying, he would first have to handle his biz in The A right? At the the time of his (T.I) arrest no one was apprehended for the murder of his homeboy so who was there to “Snitch” on???
With all that being said I see what you’re sayin, however I don’t understand. The shooter brother said “my brother did the shooting” now that’s snitchin. T.I is no longer a street-dude. That was my whole point that snitching never was for or about regular people. That was a code amonst criminals and cats in the under world. Somehow regular folks have adopted it.
All2Hood - How many regular folks do you know that go out and try to purchase an arsenal? How many try and know how to purchase silencers? I didnt paint T.I. as a street nigga…..he did that. Now how are the two cases related? Well if the Feds set up a sting operation to catch T.I., first his bodyguard and then use his bodyguard to get him. They had to be watching him…….WHY? Why the Feds watching what T.I. doing? Anyway if they were investigating him……is it possible that they knew about the state case? And once he was busted by the Feds, is it possible that the state boys decide to make a call and ask the Feds for a favor? The Feds had that man dead to rights. If they wanted T.I. Harris to tell them everything that happened with the shooting of his friend, telling the truth about that was the least of his worries. Testifying in the state case could be part of a plea deal along with any information on “the real person” the feds are after. We dont know the bigger case yet. WHat we do know is that T.I. Harris was involved in a shoot out in which his friend was killed. He is a fellon. He was later busted/set up buying guns and silencers illegally. Those charges carry sentences with them. He is suppose to serve a year for those charges. He testified in the state case.
My conflict….(dont have to be anyone else’s) but My Conflict is that I am glad he testified but if he did so as part of a plea deal in his Fed case, I feel thats not good. There’s my conflict…..good deed possibly tainted to save self.
As for 50 cent…..did these music lyrics get anyone busted? Was the lyrics used in testimony to convict anybody? Did 50 cent testify, set up, or privately give the cops information against anybody? Has the lyrics of a song been used to put people away? People might not like their names being used in a song….who does when it is negative? But nothing said in the song was used to bust them or get them locked up did it? That maybe putting people business on front street but that is not snitching. People didnt like it, so they hit back by trying to label 50 a snitch. SOme people bought into it cause they didnt think for themselves. Now how many rappers have talked about snitching and for cats to stop snitching. Now how many of those same guys fukk with 50 cent? Plea’s dont have to be approved by the judge. The DA just has to leave out certain charges to affect a sentence and also state that the person is helping with another investigation. The judge can only affect what is brought before them.
Who in here has ever been a big time celeb, been shot at, had their friend killed, had to tell the friends mom and kids that he gone, gotten busted trying to buy illegal guns, get a year for it when those charges carry sentences of more than that, have to testify in the case of his friends murder, while accusations fly about being a snitch and not really being from where you claim…….SO IF NONE OF US HAVE EXPERIENCED THAT…..GUESS NONE OF US SHOULD BE SPEAKING ON IT…..LOL!

I dont think they should be. On one hand people say it is just entertainment and then people say keep it real. I personally believe that if you faking it in a part of your life then part of you are fake. Can a person be part fake? Or does them being fake make them fake? How can a rap artist or anyone tell lies and say it is entertainment but then get upset when they go to tell something personal and people laugh or take it as just entertainment. For some reason, society holds hip hop more accountable than politicians, preachers, teachers, parents, etc. Hip Hop VS. America! Where is the Bad Parenting VS. America? LOL!
