Ever since Aaliya died; who was his friend, mentor, and true motivator; he has fallen way off the scale. I like DMX because deep down inside he has roots in spirituality and understands Bible principles. However, until he works out some of his displaced aggressions, he will continually go through this saga over and over again. It is time for this GROWN AZZ MAN to step it up. You have people in third world countries struggling to get a drink of water; and here this dude is over here in america whereas he pretty much dictates what type of “bottle” water he would like to have. Right now he needs a strong circle of influence to beat those demons out of him and pray for him and work with him to face whatever fears he is experiencing right now. For me, I would pick his dream team to include a Spiritual Advisor, A Herbalist to help detox and cleanse him of all those defilements, his wife to provide daily reaffirmations, Dr. Ian to talk shit to him as long as its needed, Dr. Phil to provide a reality check and give him some valuable tools he can take away, Oprah Winfrey to smooth out those rough edges and continually boost up his self confidence, Tyra Banks to change his look from bottom to the top; and then top it off with a week excursion with Denzel Washington and Michael Jordan to help finesse his swagger. I believe that if DMX wants his life back, then he will have to EARN IT! And that’s going to require PERSERVERANCE and DETERMINATION.

If Harriet Tubman and SoJourner Truth could get men/women/children through the Underground RailRoad, DMX can make it. If our people can live through the brutal hangings of Emmit Till - DMX can make it. If our people can survive seeing one of the greatest African American leaders of all times - Dr. King - to be gunned down like a dog - DMX can make it. DMX needs to fall down on his knees and surrender to GOD! When you are constantly being shown that your way and what you are doing aint it…..God is the answer. Dont need a bunch of people you have to pay to tell you what is right and not right or how you should be living. God says if you ask him, he will be there. Go to God first…..not man! If God wants a person or sends a person in your life, let him do it. Going to man first and not God is never a good move. Just my opinion on this DMX subject. Say a prayer for him cause he is being given the chance time and time again to call on God. The prayers of the saints have helped many. He needs it.

REDDOG, your name, current status and mood are confusing the hell out of me. You articulate how God-fearing you are, just as the Pharicees, Saduccees, and the Scribes did during the time Jesus walked on the earth. They were so holier than thou, they overlooked the one sent to the earth as salvation for all of mankind. In other words, THEY were consumed with themselves and their thoughts that they forgot about the PURPOSE of the message. I agree, DMX needs to first surrender/repent to God and then he will need a strong support system in place (i.e. noticed I mentioned well established individuals who could provide this support FREE OF CHARGE to help another fallen mentor). When you are going through something, God has a way of bringing people into your life with “long lasting effects”. God uses humans, because he fully understands we are humans and need that type of interaction in order to fully get it. That is why we each go to our place of worship for fellowship.

DMX, I will continue to pray for you and your family; and also pray to keep those haters at bay. No matter how many rungs on that ladder you may climb, there will always be some pessimistic/negative/jealous azz hater wanting you to fall. My brother I don’t - I feel your pain and understand the hardwork it took to get you there. Most people don’t do drugs “just because”; they do drugs as a way to “cope” with life - a life they really do not want to live.

On a serious note REDDOG is right. You need to put it in the Lords hands and recognize that you were in a position that could have helped a lot of people. Some of us just wish we had a small percentage of that loot. Never take anything for granted and always be thankful. I will pray for you.
